History
Founded in Higashirokugo, Ota-ku, Tokyo, as a business selling high-pressure gases such as oxygen and hydrogen, managed by the first president, Takeji Ueki.
Temporarily suspended at the end of the war.
Reestablished as Kotobuki Shokai in May 1946 (Showa 21).
Reorganized into "Ueki Shoten Co., Ltd." with a capital of 500,000 yen.
Became a special agent for Toshiba Corporation, obtaining exclusive sales rights for oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and neon produced by Toshiba.
Also became an agent for Nippon Oxygen, Showa Denko, and Toyo Oxygen.
Opened a branch in Sagamihara City, expanding the activity range to the entire Tokyo metropolitan area and Kanagawa Prefecture.
Renamed to "Ueki Gas Science Co., Ltd." to enhance the dimension of activity fields by planning an approach to science.
